A school is a meaningful place
An institute of learning and growing
A place for making friends
And a place that holds many memories
Fifty years holds many memories...
Yokota High School
Half a century Yokota has stood strong
Fifty years teaching kids
Helping them learn
Learn how to become a leader
For two years I have contributed
I have been taught
Time goes by, faster each time.
Kids grow up and get older.
Teachers leave and move around.
Replacements within every 2 months.
Friends getting left.
Fifty years are in the books
Fifty more to come and go
Let's take this time to look back
On the fifty years that had come before
These fifty years what have they done...
Acknowledging how far we came
Look at what we became
Memories stuck in my head
Past can be reread
School was torture
But it was an adventure
People were like family...
Yearning to explore a life after high school,
Or perhaps some will wish they could stay,
Knowledgeable seniors will soon graduate.
Off to discover what the future has in...
